What actually happens on the bench

A proper strip-down, not a wipe and a squirt of lube

Questions

Before you book

Do you install and re-install forks and shocks?
Yes. If you bring in a complete bike rather than just the fork or shock, we'll remove it, service it, and re-install it back on your bike. This involves additional labour on top of the service price, so let us know when booking if you're dropping off a full bike.
How often should I service my suspension?
Most riders are due a full service roughly once a season, or sooner if you're riding wet, muddy or dusty trails often, notice reduced sensitivity, or hear or feel anything unusual. If you're not sure, bring it in or ask us and we'll tell you straight.
What's included in a suspension service?
A full strip-down, clean and inspection, replacement of seals and oil, a check of bushings and damper internals, and a full rebuild and test. Exactly what's needed depends on your fork or shock and what we find once it's open.
How does the North Island delivery service work?
1
Pack it yourself

Courier it to our Papamoa workshop. Just take care: we can't take responsibility for damage caused by inadequate packaging, so make sure your fork or shock is properly protected before it goes in the box.

2
Let us send you a box

For a fee, we'll send you a tailored box with the right packaging materials included. Drop your fork or shock in and send it back to us.

Either way, we'll confirm receipt, service it on the same bench as our local jobs, and send it back once it's done.

Do you service e-bike suspension too?
Yes. E-bike forks and shocks see more load and wear, so if anything they benefit from staying on top of servicing more than most.
Can I get a quote before booking?
Yes. Tell us the make and model of your fork or shock and what it's doing, and we'll give you a straight answer before you commit to anything.
Where's your workshop?
9/38 Ashley Place, Papamoa 3118, Tauranga. Get directions. Anywhere outside the Bay of Plenty, use our North Island delivery option instead.
